Captured through a light microscope the film Reclaiming Vision features a
diverse cast of microorganisms, sampled from brackish water alongside algae
plucked from the Norwegian fjords.
This film reveals in stunning color how these organisms animate and re-animate over changing environments, temperatures and the traces left by human activities.

The film score is composed entirely by Henry Vega for cellist Jan Willem Troost who go by the name Ninevolt (click here).
Vega s score is inspired by biological models which he then interprets into virtuosic cello parts set on the backdrop of orchestrated grains of sound. The colors that emerge parallel the jaw-dropping images and colors that are captured on screen in a choreographed unity that transports the audience into this other world.
